ABS Conference

We have hosted an Alternative Business Structure conference to demonstrate the exciting and potentially lucrative opportunities which are now available under the Legal Services Act.

Over 100 introducers joined Senior Partner, Eddie Goldsmith and a host of guest speakers to start to understand how they could offer their own legal services and get a slice of this multi-million pound legal industry.

The keynote speaker on the day was Professor Stephen Mayson, Director of the Legal Services Institute, who talked about The Benefits of ABS.

Prof. Stephen Mayson | Director of the Legal Services Institute
Professor Mayson is the Director of the Legal Services Institute and Professor of Strategy at the College of Law. He is one of the world's leading authorities on law firm strategy, economics and ownership and was Director of the Centre of Law Firm Management at Nottingham Law School, where he conceived and developed the world's first MBA in Legal Practice.

In 2008, Stephen was appointed to the Ministry of Justice's Strategy Group for Public Legal Education. He also serves on the Legal Services Board's research strategy group, the Solicitors Regulation Authority's ABS reference group, the Bar Standards Board's advisory panel on the Legal Services Act, and the Bar Council's policy advisory group and ABS working group.
