The new Ministry of Justice (MOJ) claims process for all RTA cases under £10,000 as from 30th April 2010
This compulsory new process will affect the way in which all RTA cases are handled.
This new process will impact not only on us as solicitors but also massively on yourselves as introducers and sets out how RTA claims are to be processed post an accident date of April 30th 2010. All initial claim details MUST be sent to the defendant insurers using a standard Claim Notification Form (CNF).
Goldsmith Williams are working very hard to prepare for these major changes in conjunction with our RTA and IT departments. This will enable you, our introducers, to proceed with this transition as easily and professionally as possible and to make sure that you will be able to provide a seamless and top level service to your clients from the kick off. Our cutting edge online case tracking system, GWLive, will also be modified to enable you to provide your instructions to us on line using the new and mandatory Claims Notification Form (CNF). Watch this space for more information
We do not see these changes as any cause for major concern and indeed they will hopefully prove beneficial to established and professional introducers.
Please read this presentation very carefully.
We will continue to keep you informed with developments by email on a regular basis but please feel free to contact Jim Buckley on 0845 373 3737 or at jbuckley@goldsmithwilliams.co.uk.
Goldsmith Williams RTA Fixed Cost Process
To make the new process as easy as possible to manage, and to help you keep your records up to date, we have created an electronic version of the new Ministry of Justice form.
There are a couple of simple steps that you will need to follow to submit the instruction to us using the new form.
The first step is to download the form from our website using this link . If you wish to be able to send the form to us via email, you will first need to save a master copy onto your hard drive/USB storage. Click on the form and key in the information requested into the relevant boxes. If necessary, the form can be printed and completed in pen; however, handwritten forms will take longer to process and input into our system. Once the form is completed, it can be emailed directly to us using the following email address rta_file_openers@goldsmithwilliams.co.uk. Alternatively, you can print off the form and fax it to us on 0845 017 7340 or, if you prefer, you can scan or post the document.
A copy of the form should be saved using your client name or reference for future ease of access and identification.
For more information on how to use the CNF please read this guide.
If you have any technical queries, or issues regarding the downloading or completion of the forms, please do not hesitate to contact our ICT service desk on 0845 373 6099 or by email servicedesk@goldsmithwilliams.co.uk .
