Remortgage Standards

  • To provide a fast and effective remortgage service to clients.
  • To act in accordance with the client’s instructions.
  • To comply with the Law Society’s client care provisions.
  • To identify the client in accordance with the firm’s Anti Money Laundering Procedure.
  • To deal courteously and professionally with all clients and third parties in both verbal and written communication.
  • To ensure that all data entered onto the case management system is accurate and kept up to date.
  • To enter key dates on the case management system.
  • To ensure that all undertakings both given and received are complied with.
  • To complete a standard remortgage transaction within 10 working days of receiving the mortgage offer if this complies with the client’s instructions and the lender’s conditions have been satisfied.

Conveyancing Standards

  • To provide a professional, timely and effective conveyancing service to clients.
  • To seek to identify the client’s objectives with regard to the transaction.
  • To act in accordance with the client’s instructions.
  • To fulfil the client’s expectations.
  • To explain the Conveyancing process to the client in documents written in plain English.
  • To identify the client in accordance with the firm’s Anti Money Laundering Procedure.
  • To deal courteously and professionally with all clients and third parties in both verbal and written communication.
  • To advise the client of the reason for any delay in the transaction.
  • To seek to complete a conveyancing transaction within 3 months of receiving the initial instructions.
