All the Academy trainers have relevant teaching qualifications and are all Associates of the Institute for Learning.

  • John Jones

    Legal Executive and Licensed Conveyancer, who qualified in 1987. Former Head of Conveyancing and now Director for Learning & Development at Goldsmith Williams Solicitors, he has specialist experience in all aspects of conveyancing,lender support Practice, wills & probate. He divides his time between running a successful private client department, lecturing and managing his firm’s training academy. He has written many articles for trade journals as well as a popular series of legal guides for a national magazine. John has recently completed the Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) qualification, is an Associate member of the Institute for Learning and a Fellow of the Institute for Training and Occupational Learning.
  • Barbara Hillen

    Head of Human Resources Barbara Hillen is responsible for the day to day running of the HR Department. Barbara joined Goldsmith Williams in 2004 as an HR Assistant, leading to a role as HR manager and subsequent appointment to Head of Human Resources. She is also responsible for payroll, customer service, quality assurance and is the Academy Consultant for the Osmosis Training Academy.
  • Karen Lee

    Karen Lee joined Goldsmith Williams as a Fee Earner within the remortgage department in 1998. After gaining a wealth of practical experience in the department Karen became increasingly involved in the training of new employees within the department. With the expansion of the remortgage department Karen became a full time trainer in 2005 and is now the Senior Learning and Development Officer for Osmosis. Karen is involved in all aspects of the training and development of new and existing staff including inductions, case management system and software training, ICT developments and software assessments. Karen has recently successfully completed the City and Guilds Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) qualification and is an Associate member of Institute for Learning.
  • Kelly Stevenson

    Kelly has been involved in learning and development since 2003, when she became an NVQ Assessor delivering frameworks in Business Administration, Retail, Customer Service, IT and Key Skills. Kelly joined Goldsmith Williams in 2008 as the Learning and Development Co-ordinator, responsible for all training internally and externally. Kelly has recently gained the Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) qualification, the Advanced Certificate in Training and Occupational Learning, is an Associate member of Institute for Learning and a Licentiate Fellow of the Institute for Training and Occupational Learning.
  • Anita Wood

    Anita has been involved in training and development in some format since the age of 18. Initially undertaking a degree in education, Anita then moved into financial and customer services. Training and development of all staff from customer advisor to director level has always been a part of her role. Anita has experience of delivering training in areas such as customer service, call handling, complaint resolution, IT systems and applications, health and safety, financial compliance, retail legislation, sales and other soft skills such as presentation, appraisal and coaching skills. Anita has been a full time trainer since joining Goldsmith Williams in January 2007, obtaining a Certificate in Teaching for the Lifelong Learning Sector in 2008. Along with her colleagues in Osmosis Anita is also an Associate member of the Institute for Learning.
